We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee our financial operations including budgeting, reporting, reconciliation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the events or entertainment industry with a strong understanding of project-based accounting and vendor/client management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full-cycle accounting process including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing.
Prepare financial statements, cash flow projections, and monthly management reports.
Track and report on event-specific budgets, expenses, and profitability.
Ensure accurate invoicing to clients and timely payments to vendors/suppliers.
Handle VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
Coordinate with event managers and production teams on project costing.
Monitor cash flow, forecast expenditures, and recommend financial actions.
Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Oversee junior accounting staff and provide guidance where necessary.
Implement and improve internal financial controls and systems.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus).
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the event, media, or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, UAE VAT laws, and IFRS.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
