The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant accounting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. This role manages reconciliations, prepares financial statements, and supports tax readiness, while ensuring data integrity for both fiat and crypto transactions. The Senior Accountant also plays a key role in audits, process improvements, and mentoring junior accountants. By maintaining high accounting standards, the Senior Accountant ensures the company has reliable financial information to support decision-making. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and experience in dynamic, international environments.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting updates
• Ensure accurate reconciliations of fiat and crypto accounts
• Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and controls
• Support preparation of management accounts and financial statements

Key Responsibilities: Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with external auditors to prepare year-end audits
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and internal accounting policies
• Respond to auditor requests within agreed deadlines
• Review historical accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness

Key Responsibilities: Treasury & Cash Flow

• Monitor cash balances and payment readiness for operational needs
• Approve invoices and payments in line with approval policies
• Support VAT and other tax compliance by ensuring correct postings
• Prepare inputs for management cash flow reviews

Key Responsibilities: Process Improvement & Controls

• Implement and improve accounting policies and procedures
• Introduce accruals, fixed asset accounting, and other process improvements
• Drive automation of accounting workflows and reporting
• Support payroll and contributor payment accounting

Key Responsibilities: Team Support & Development

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants and finance operations staff
• Review work prepared by team members and provide constructive feedback
• Support cross-functional collaboration with finance and operations teams
• Engage in ad-hoc projects requiring technical accounting expertise

What You’ll Need: Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting roles, ideally in international environments
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and accounting policies
• Proven track record of preparing reconciliations and financial reports
• Audit preparation and external auditor coordination experience
• Experience with VAT and tax compliance support
• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Xero, SAP, Oracle) and Excel
• Exposure to crypto/digital asset accounting (advantageous)
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Team-oriented mindset with mentoring ability
