Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
  2. Analyze revenues, commissions, and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
  3. Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
  4. Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
  5. Assist with quarterly producer commission reports; analyzing and correcting discrepancies.
  6. Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
  7. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  8. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  9. Prepare yearly or quarterly budget / MIS reports.
  10. Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  11. Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
  12. Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
  13. Secure financial information by completing database backups.
  14. Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  15. Daily update of Job profitability statement and follow up on the issues with the Project Managers.
  16. Regular follow up with clients / Project Managers on short certification of the invoices.
  17. Follow up on monthly project invoicing and enquire on reasons for short invoicing.
  18. Follow up on the project documentation hindering the actual collection process by working closely with QS and PMs.
  19. Conduct periodic meetings with all Project Managers to coordinate, smoothen and streamline the collection process.
  20. Ensure timely payments to suppliers and monitor collections by working closely with the Management accountant.
  21. Maintain data integrity and accuracy.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Ideal candidates will be a Qualified CA.
  2. Minimum 2-4 years with similar duties, preferably within the construction industry.
  3. Experience with ERP systems or excellent IT skills are essential.
  4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  5. Strong analytical skills with attention to accuracy.
  6. Strong oral and written communication skills.
