Job summary

A leading company in the UAE is looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the accounting activities across its diversified group of companies. This role involves financial reporting, compliance, team collaboration, and driving process improvements, requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Candidates should have a degree in Accounting or Finance, relevant certifications, and significant experience in financial management within a multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity structure.

  • Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the accounting activities across a diversified group of companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing consolidated financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Consolidation

2. General Accounting & Reconciliation

3. Budgeting and Forecasting

4. Compliance and Audit

5. Cash Flow and Treasury Management

6. Process Improvement and Internal Controls

7. Team Collaboration (supervise and support junior accounting staff across different business units. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and HR.)

Skills

  • Pertinent educational qualification in the field of Commerce, Finance, and Economics.
  • Expertise in handling financial activities by implementing the latest management and cost reduction trends.
  • Adroit soft skills to enable fluent in-house operations and maintain strong partner relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Presenting an in-depth analysis of the company's financial statements through concise reports.
  • Ability to handle relevant software like Microsoft Suite for efficient preparation of reports and statements.
