Job summary

Sundus seeks a Senior Accountant in Abu Dhabi to execute core accounting duties, maintain the general ledger, and support monthly closings with accuracy and integrity.

The role covers accounts payable/receivable, cash flow management, fixed assets depreciation, and confidential financial record-keeping. ERP tools include Oracle, Maximo, and MS Office, aligning with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of accounting or financial operations experience.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Execute core accounting duties, including journal vouchers, general ledger maintenance, and subsidiary account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, revenue reports, and period-closing summaries.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification, supplier payments, settlement checks, and weekly aged account reviews.
• Perform routine cash flow management, bank reconciliations, cash calls, and petty cash processing.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and compute periodic depreciation in accordance with established rates.
• Reconcile daily transactions, credit balances, refunds, and claim denials, applying necessary adjustments.
• Maintain document control, monthly audit books, and strict confidentiality of financial records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Utilize ERP and accounting software (Oracle, Maximo, MS Office) to maintain accurate financial databases.
