Exciting Opportunity for Senior Account Payable Accountant Join Our Finance Team!

Are you detail-oriented and experienced in managing Senior Account Payable Accountant? We are seeking a Senior Account Payable Accountant to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of our Payable Accountant.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Accounts Payable Management:
    • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, and payment approvals.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and expense reports in compliance with company policies.
    • Monitor accounts payable aging reports to avoid late payments and penalties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Address and resolve payment discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts payable ledger to general ledger.
  • Prepare and present accounts payable reports to management.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Compliance & Audit:
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.
    • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify inefficiencies in the accounts payable process and recommend improvements.
    • Implement best practices to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and treasury, to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Education: CA Inter, CMA, ICAA and CPA.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a related field.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong communication skills, fluency in English is essential, and Arabic is an added advantage. Proficiency in Excel and Word is required, and knowledge of SAP/Oracle is preferred.
