SEND Teacher

Minimum Requirements

1. Hold bachelor's degree relevant to the teaching subject in Special Needs Education
2. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent
3. Previous special needs classroom teaching experience - minimum 2 years
4. Experience teaching students with Learning difficulties and significant communication difficulties
5. Ability to adapt curriculums to meet the needs of the individual child
6. Ability to create a structured learning environment
7. Ability to deliver creative learning activities and differentiate to individual needs
8. Ability to create Individual Education Plans
9. A clear personal philosophy of education
10. Effective interpersonal and communication skills
11. An excellent understanding of how to teach the acquisition of early Language and mathematical skills
12. Commitment to inclusive education that meets the needs of the individual child
