Job Description

How does your working day look like …

  • Brief the senior security officers and security officers on the security plan for the hotel including incident response mechanisms and escalation process, in order to enable the identification and mitigation of all risks to guests, colleagues and assets.
  • To ensure that the manning roster is kept up to date and accurate and ensure that all positions are covered on a daily basis.
  • Ensure training is delivered and implemented to all security officers thus ensuring that the security training plan is delivered as per the agreed guidelines.
  • Arrange all the shifts, weekly offs, leaves etc., for all security officers.
  • Complete all logbooks, follow up on all outstanding matters from previous shifts; investigate incidents and hand over as required.
  • investigate, if any major complaints are received and report to the Head of Security & Assistant Security Manager.
  • Maintain a written log of any untoward incidents or accidents.
  • Manage and update the perspective incident reporting system and ensure that all relevant information is passed on to the relevant department and individuals.
  • Escalate incidents to the Head of Security / Assistant Security Manager that requires further action in a timely manner.
  • keep the Head of Security & Assistant Security Manager informed of any untoward incidents or accidents.
  • Regularly patrol duty posts in conjunction with security officers and sign relevant logs as required.
  • Conduct regular fire patrols including any construction and refurbishment areas ensuring compliance both by contractors and colleagues and reporting any irregularities.
  • Conduct regular patrolling and identify security/fire hazards.
  • Establishes, monitors, and implements policies and procedures to identify, prioritize and resolve security problems and to ensure the remote monitoring systems are operating efficiently.
  • Respond to emergency incidents as and when notified and report back details to the senior management. Manage the security response team should an event develop into an emergency or crisis.
  • Respond to emergency needs by contacting local fire, police, or emergency services for assistance.
  • Ensure lost & found inquiries are handled efficiently and correctly and any property claimed is returned promptly and in compliance with the lost & found process.
  • Promote and maintain a high level of security associate performance, morale, and loss prevention awareness.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings for all security officers and assign any specific tasks.
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the CCTV system.
  • Oversee visitor management system during regular duty hours.
  • Defuse potentially hostile situations.
  • Rapidly escalate intrusions or other security concerns to Security management.
  • Maintain inventory of access control and CCTV supplies.
  • Respond to alarms, dispatch calls, and document accordingly.
  • Maintain the access control system, and issue employee I.D.
  • Conduct department equipment checks (Hand Wands, radios, CCTV…etc)
  • Conduct safety inspections in assigned areas and maintain awareness of safety deficiencies while on duty.
  • Assist Operations management staff on event setup as needed
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Head of Security / Assistant Security Manager.

Qualifications

  • Security license holder and CCTV operator license
  • Minimum 5-year Security guard/Officer experience or 2-year Senior Security Officer/Asst or Team Leader experience.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in Hospitality security or police or military
  • Good command of verbal and written English. Arabic language or additional foreign languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of firefighting equipment
  • First aid and CPR trained
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of handling emergency situations and evacuation
  • Live and practice the hallmarks of the company
  • Ability to operate in various environmental conditions including internal and external
