Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to premises to prevent unauthorised entry.
• Conduct regular security patrols of internal and external areas.
• Manage keys and perform locking/unlocking duties as required.
• Provide traffic control and enforce parking restrictions when needed.
• Maintain logbooks, records, and documentation per Instructions.
• Test security equipment and report faults or defects.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and report hazards.
• Keep walkways and emergency routes clear at all times.
• Investigate fire alarm activations and respond to emergencies.
• Support staff, visitors, and contractors while maintaining security.
• Document security incidents and report suspicious activities per procedures.
• Liaise with emergency services and external security personnel as needed.
• Maintain security awareness across the organisation.

Job Description

• Monitor and control access to premises, preventing unauthorised entry and managing visitor and contractor passes
• Conduct regular security patrols of internal and external areas, including monitoring of fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in Assignment Instructions
• Provide traffic control and enforce parking restrictions as required
• Maintain all logbooks, records, and documentation in accordance with Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment and report any faults or defects
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed; record and report all hazards, unsafe practices, and accidents to management
• Keep all walkways and emergency escape routes clear at all times
• Investigate fire alarm activations and respond to emergencies following established protocols
• Provide support and guidance to staff, visitors, and contractors whilst maintaining premises security
• Document and report all security incidents, breaches, and suspicious activities in accordance with company procedures
• Liaise with emergency services and external security personnel when required
• Maintain awareness of current security threats and contribute to security awareness initiatives across the organisation
• Conduct regular checks of security equipment, access points, and alarm systems to ensure optimal functionality
