Security Engineer – Firewall & SASE Implementation

This is a 12-month contract role in Abu Dhabi with the possibility of extension.

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in full firewall deployments and implementations for one of our clients in Abu Dhabi. This role requires deep technical knowledge and experience in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions and Prisma technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end deployment of security infrastructure, ensuring robust protection for enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, etc.).
2. Implement and maintain Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions, ensuring seamless security across cloud and on-prem environments.
3. Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Prisma Access and Prisma Cloud security solutions.
4. Design, execute, and document firewall rules, policies, and access controls.
5. Perform in-depth security analysis and provide recommendations for network hardening.
6. Conduct security assessments and testing to ensure system integrity.
7. Collaborate with IT and network teams to integrate security measures into existing infrastructure.
8. Monitor firewall performance, logs, and security incidents, responding to threats in real time.
9. Stay up to date with the latest security threats, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills :

1. Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in firewall deployment and security infrastructure implementation.
2. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Palo Alto Networks (Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud) and other SASE solutions.
3. Certifications (Preferred): Palo Alto PCNSE, CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent.
4. Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust architectures.
5. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills in firewall security and network environments.
6. Communication: Ability to clearly document and communicate technical solutions to cross-functional teams.
