Job Description

1. Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency to impact business success.
2. Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with organizational goals to optimize supply chain performance and reduce lead times.
3. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts for favorable terms and quality service.
4. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure stock availability, minimizing disruptions.
5. Lead and mentor logistics staff, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
6. Utilize data analytics to track logistics performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards to mitigate transportation and storage risks.
8. Implement technology solutions like warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations and improve visibility.
9. Prepare and manage the logistics budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master’s or MBA is a strong advantage.
2. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
3. Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CILT are preferred, demonstrating industry best practices.
4. Experience with logistics management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
5. Strong understanding of transportation regulations, customs compliance, and international shipping protocols.
6. Excellent leadership skills and a track record of building high-performing teams.
7. Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus for global operations.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for quick, data-driven decisions.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and quality.
