Job summary

New Century Education seeks an English Teacher for Cycle 1–3 placements in Abu Dhabi/Al Ain for the 2026–2027 academic year. Immediate joiners only.

The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons, tracking progress, and supporting student achievement within charter schools. The candidate will plan thoughtfully, assess learning outcomes, and collaborate with staff to ensure alignment with ADEK national identity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Science or related field, properly attested and UAE-equivalency certified.
• A recognized teaching qualification such as a Teaching diploma, PGCE, QTS or equivalent licensure from home country.
• IELTS band 6 or higher for non-native speakers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance expertise in the subject area to be taught.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with learning standards and grade-specific targets.
• Coordinate lesson plans with colleagues to reinforce topics across subjects.

Job description

This role is open for Cycle 1, Cycle 2, and Cycle 3 placements in charter schools across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain for the 2026–2027 academic year. Only for IMMEDIATE joiners.

Job Purpose

To teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care. To encourage each student to reach their academic potential through enthusiastic and personalised teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enrich their expertise in the subject area they will teach.
• Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of learning standards and the additional specific grade-by-grade learning standards set forth.
• Coordinate lesson plans with other teachers to maximize possibilities for teaching similar topics in the same general time frame, thus reinforcing student knowledge on an interdisciplinary basis.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction.
• Long and short-term planning addressing individual needs of students.
• Prepare students adequately for all required assessments.
• Prepare at least quarterly individual student achievement reports for parents.
• Provide an inviting, exciting, innovative, learning environment.
• Engage in effective and appropriate classroom management.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Serve as an advisor to a students, including organizing advisory groups, overseeing the academic and behavioural progress.
• Supports with implementing the ADEK National Identity initiative.
• Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (QFE Level 7) in Science or a related field—properly attested and UAE-equivalency certified.
