English teacher who would work alongside, develop and support a multi-cultural staff
team in our continued pursuit of excellence. Our focus is purely on your ability as a
practitioner so experience of the US Common Core Curriculum we follow, although
desirable, is not essential.

Secondary English Teacher

Qualifications / Person Specification
  1. A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English is an essential requirement for this
    position;
  2. Possession of a PGCE or another teaching qualification is mandatory;
  3. A minimum of 2 years recent teaching experience is preferred;
  4. An excellent understanding of secondary teaching and learning;
  5. Superior pastoral and behaviour management skills;
  6. Experience / Understanding of English language learning, particularly for
    students for whom English is a second language;
  7. Excellent communication skills to lead by example, as well as collaborate with
    leaders, Senior Management and parents;
  8. Ability to research new initiatives and implement them whilst evaluating
    current processes.
