Second Mate - Maritime Position (UAE)


We are seeking a highly capable Second Mate to join our maritime team in El-Fujairah, UAE. As a Second Mate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessel. This position is open to all nationalities, but preference will be given to Africans and Egyptians.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Captain in the overall management and navigation of the vessel
- Oversee and supervise deck crew members
- Maintain and update navigational charts and equipment
- Perform regular safety checks on the vessel
- Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to route
- Communicate with other vessels and port authorities as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols

Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Second Mate license/certificate
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Prior experience on board a ship is preferred but not required
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends
