Job description

Sealine Engineer (Senior)
The Sealine Engineer executes the design calculations and prepares the deliverables for the client relevant to Subsea Pipeline Design.

Main Tasks

1. Act as Project Specialist Leader (PSL) or Project Specialist (PS) for Subsea Pipeline Design
2. Perform all discipline analyses, technical report specifications, and drawings required to design the pipelines system and relevant components.
3. Verify subcontracted engineering.
4. Prepare technical specifications and requisition for material and services purchasing.
5. Oversee the bid evaluation and procurements phases.
6. Ensure an adequate standard of technical documentation and contribute to updating Company standards.
7. Review Clients technical documentation and requirements.
8. Prepare technical qualifications and contribute to the definition of the technical proposal while bidding for EPCI contracts.
9. Contribute to update and improve the department tools for Sealine Engineering.
10. Contribute to maintain excellence in Sealine Engineering.
11. Contribute to the definition, implementation, and improvement of the department quality system.
12. Contribute to the standardization and definition of procedures for the department working process.

Technical Background and Skills

Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Ocean Engineer
Senior profile (8 years if possible)
Experience in Offshore O&G and Subsea Design
Consolidated experience in Subsea Pipeline Design including the disciplines listed below:

Mandatory Disciplines (the candidate shall be familiar with at least 3 of them)

1. Pipeline Mechanical (Wall Thickness) Sizing
2. OnBoom Stability Analysis (OBS)
3. OnBoom Roughness Analysis (OBR)
4. FreeSpan Analysis
5. Expansion Analysis
6. Subsea Intervention Works
7. Pipeline Crossing
8. Material TakeOff (MTO) and Material Requisition (MR) Preparation
9. Spool and Riser Design

Optional Disciplines (one or more will represent a plus in candidate evaluation)

1. OnShore Approach Design
2. InService Buckling and Pipeline Walking Analysis
3. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Capabilities
4. Advanced Analysis (Dynamic Impact Failure Mechanisms)
5. Flange Design

Experienced in coordination of a small team of engineers and designers.
Knowledge of the following software (also similar are allowed):
