Job description

Sea Freight Imports & Logistics Executive

We are a leader in the fresh food industry, and we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sea Freight Imports & Logistics Executive to manage and coordinate all aspects of sea shipment import operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BOE, BOL, ASN, FIRS, and customs documentation, and possess strong coordination skills with freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

  • End-to-end coordination of sea freight import shipments (FCL & LCL), including tracking, follow-ups, and clearance.
  • Preparation and submission of all customs clearance documents, including BOE (Bill of Entry), BOL (Bill of Lading), FIRS, Health Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and Halal Certificates.
  • Verify and follow up on ASN (Advance Shipping Notice), packing lists, invoices, and compliance certificates.
  • Ensure proper documentation is collected from suppliers and uploaded accurately in the ERP system.
  • Maintain constant communication with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and port authorities.
  • Liaise with the internal procurement, finance, and warehouse teams for shipment ETA, invoice processing, and delivery coordination.
  • Verify and confirm product classifications (frozen/chilled/ambient), and ensure correct temperature compliance during clearance.
  • Follow up for original documents from suppliers and check for consistency between invoice, packing list, and CO documents.
  • Maintain updated records of shipments, tracking sheets, and ensure timely clearance to avoid demurrage or delays.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 5-8 years of experience in sea freight logistics and customs clearance in the UAE.
  • Strong working knowledge of BOE, BOL, ASN, FIRS, and UAE customs regulations.
  • Prior experience with perishable/fresh food imports mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Dubai Trade, Mirsal II, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
