Job description

We are currently looking for a Scrum Master for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms & conditions.

Role Purpose
  1. The Scrum Master ensures that the Scrum process is used as intended.
  2. Keeps the Development Team aligned with the Scrum framework values and principles and ensures the team is focused on continuous improvement.
  3. Enforces daily builds to detect early issues in the compiled and aggregated code as well as in the functionality delivered.
  4. Facilitates Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Product Backlog refinement, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, release planning, and other team activities as required.
  5. Encourages team self-organization & empowerment.
  6. Shares new industry Agile best practices.
  7. Facilitates Retrospectives which generate new ideas for process improvement.
  8. Ensures preparation for planning through effective Product Backlog refinement sessions.
  9. Ensures planning meetings fully prepare the team for the upcoming Sprints and releases.
  10. Actively removes impediments that slow any aspect of the Development Team's efforts.
  11. Works closely with the Technical Delivery Manager, Program Manager, and Business Experts to ensure visibility and resolution of technical and business challenges.
  12. Previous experience required (if any):
  13. 3 years as a Scrum Master/Project lead working with dedicated agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.
  14. 2 years of experience as a project lead/project manager.
  15. Strong understanding and experience with software and product development.
  16. Professional Certification in Scrum methodologies.
  17. Experience and practice in Scrum Master methodologies and project management in Banking.
