Job summary

Sarla Technologies is seeking a skilled automation engineer to design and configure Substation Control and Monitoring Systems in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires hands-on experience with SICAM Device Manager, RTU A8000 Series, and strong knowledge of substation automation protocols. Responsibilities include developing HMI/SCADA interfaces, performing system testing, and providing technical support. Candidates must be comfortable with travel across the Middle East and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SICAM Device Manager/Toolbox II Software.
• Hands-on experience with RTU A8000 Series, AK3, and AK1703 hardware.
• Knowledge of substation automation systems and protocols.

Job description

• Design and configure Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS)
• Set up and program RTUs (e.g., A8000, AK3, AK1703) using SICAM Toolbox II / Device Manager
• Siemens SICAM SCC Development and Configuration
• Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces using SICAM Device Manager and SICAM SCC
• Perform Pre-FAT, FAT at Factory
• Perform system testing, SAT, and commissioning at site
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure reliable communication between devices and SCADA
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (I/O lists, configurations, reports)
• Ethernet Switch & GPS Configuration
• Provide technical support and maintenance for installed systems

Requirement:

• Hands on Experience with SICAM Device Manager/Toolbox II Software
• Hands on Experience with RTU A8000 Series, AK3 and AK1703 Hardware
• Hands on Experience with SICAM SCC, WinCC SCADA
• Hands on Experience with Siemens SICAM PAS
• Knowledge of substation automation systems and protocols. (IEC61850, IEC101/104, DNP3, Modbus and RSTP)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Candidate should be comfortable to travel over the Middle East region
