The opportunity

You will be responsible for designing authority, testing, and commissioning of SCMS systems engineering with low to medium complexity. You will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering requirements. Provide technical support for installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare project documentation within your scope of deliverables, ensuring quality solutions meet customer requirements and are delivered within budget and contract.
• Create work plans in your area of responsibility, ensure timely and quality deliverables, and assist customers with technical issues. Interact with official contacts, contractors, and staff within scope of deliverables.
• Collaborate with the supply chain to communicate and agree on technical requirements for equipment or services with potential suppliers.
• Assign tasks and coordinate with draftsmen, technicians, and administrative staff. Participate in design review meetings with consultants or clients to resolve design issues and provide technical support for project management.
• Explain and discuss Hitachi technical solutions with customers to build good relationships and clarify job details.
• Prepare project documentation for FAT and SAT, conduct testing of SCMS with SCADA Control System, and obtain approvals from utilities for design and commissioning activities.

Your background

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant industry is preferred.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a design and commissioning engineer of SCMS systems.
• Working knowledge of GPRS systems on various protocols (IEC101, IEC 103, IEC104, DNP 3.0, IEC 61850, MODBUS, SCMS TCP/IP/Serial, SPABUS) and PLC programming according to IEC61131-3 (mainly FBD, LD) using MultiProg ProConOS runtime system.
• Experience with IED integration with SCMS/SCADA and Micro SCADA Pro control systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
