We are looking for a professional SCM Program Manager (Grade 6).

About the Role :

We are seeking an SCM Program Manager to work within the Program IPT, Engineering Development Teams, engaging with key stakeholders across various Programs and Engineering departments. The role involves gathering requirements, managing expectations, and communicating project progress aligned with the SCM strategy. This position serves as a critical link between Stakeholders in the Program Teams and SCM (Commodity and Supply Chain teams) to ensure goals are met, risks are managed, and effective processes with required resources are utilized.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage, monitor, and report on overall QCSRD targets related to requirements aligned with SCM strategies to ensure effective operations among Engineering Development Stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor planning and demand set activities from Programs to ensure effective methods on all requirements, complying with commitments and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate engineering needs by leading and attending project meetings, ensuring SCM involvement to escalate critical schedule delays and promote cooperation with the Program Engineering Development Teams. Monitor statuses and report to Programs and SCM teams.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders to leverage sourcing strategies, identify opportunities for cost reduction and service efficiency, and meet program commitments and requirements.
  • Oversee and monitor the complete SCM process in terms of project status to ensure optimal information flow and reporting.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of project information and SCM processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in line with changing project needs and market conditions.
  • This is an internal-facing role requiring the SCM Program Manager to present to various teams daily or weekly. Act as a change agent for SCM, working collaboratively with the Commodity and Supply Chain teams to identify constraints early, enabling continuity of supply into the Engineering teams.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and constraints within the Program Engineering Development and Supply Chains Teams.
  • Drive collaboration and optimization to reduce lead times within the Supply Chains and coordinate with Warehouse & Logistics teams to ensure timely arrival of materials, samples, hardware, etc., to the Program / Engineering Development Teams.
  • Work with the Program Engineering Teams on a ‘Development Approved Vendor List’ to support ongoing activities.
  • Handle ad-hoc project demands from other entities within the EDGE Group.

Experience / Knowledge / Qualification :

  • Master’s Degree (preferred) in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Project Management with a focus on Supply Chain or Procurement, Material Planning, and Procurement.
  • Experience in Aero / Defence industries is highly beneficial.
  • Technical exposure and confidence in dealing with Engineers.
  • Good understanding of Export Control (including EAR) and INCOTERMS related to moving materials within the Aero / Defence Industry.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and project procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to drive change and deliver measurable results.
  • Understanding of Contract & Law.
  • Influencing skills at all levels.

  • Good presentation skills, confident in presenting to Senior Management.
