Science Teacher (Middle & High)

The Science Teacher (Middle & High) is responsible for delivering high-quality science education to students in grades 6-12. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons, promote critical thinking, and foster an appreciation for scientific inquiry and discovery, while adhering to curriculum standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective lesson plans that cover a variety of scientific disciplines such as biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
• Utilize a range of teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Encourage student engagement through hands-on experiments, group projects, and discussions that stimulate critical thinking.
• Assess student performance regularly, providing feedback and support to encourage academic and personal growth.
• Promote a strong scientific methodology, encouraging students to ask questions, formulate hypotheses, and conduct research.
• Maintain clear communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment that encourages collaboration and inquiry.
• Stay current on scientific advancements and curriculum developments, participating in professional development opportunities as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree of Science + Teaching Diploma / Bachelor degree of Education specialized in Sciences.

Experience:

• Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience.

Skills:

• Valid teaching certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of science curricula and effective instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to utilize various technologies and resources to enhance science teaching and learning.
