Position Overview

Science and Math Teacher - Secondary in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a full‑time role in the Education sector at The Apple International School. The teacher will deliver engaging Science and Mathematics lessons while supporting student learning, classroom participation, and academic progress.

Role Context

The Science and Math Teacher - Secondary will be responsible for teaching core Science and Mathematics concepts, preparing structured lessons, supporting students with different learning needs, and helping learners build confidence in problem‑solving, analytical thinking, scientific understanding, and numeracy skills. The role requires creativity, patience, strong communication, and the ability to maintain high teaching standards within a collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clear, engaging, and curriculum‑aligned Science and Mathematics lessons to students.
• Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities, worksheets, assessments, and learning resources.
• Teach key Science topics including basic scientific concepts, observation, experimentation, and practical application.
• Teach Mathematics topics including numeracy, algebra, geometry, problem‑solving, data handling, and logical reasoning.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere that supports student participation.
• Assess student progress through classwork, homework, tests, projects, and regular academic feedback.
• Identify learning gaps and provide additional support, guidance, and reinforcement where required.
• Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, independent learning, and confidence in Science and Math.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, lesson plans, assessments, and student performance.
• Apply effective classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and focus.
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership when needed.
• Collaborate with other teachers and academic coordinators to support curriculum delivery and school improvement.
• Follow school policies, safeguarding standards, and student wellbeing expectations.
• Support school events, academic activities, and other responsibilities assigned by the school administration.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Mathematics, Education, or a related subject.
• B.Ed. or recognized teaching qualification is preferred.
• Previous teaching experience in Science, Mathematics, or both subjects is preferred.
• Experience in a school environment in the UAE is an advantage.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science and Mathematics.
• Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Good classroom management, lesson planning, and student engagement skills.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to student needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and supportive teaching approach.
• Organized, responsible, and able to manage academic records and classroom duties effectively.
• Passionate about student development, academic achievement, and quality education.
• Candidates available in the UAE and able to join promptly will be preferred.
