Dubai British School Jumeira are currently recruiting for a number of administration professionals to become members of the admin team for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Our Curriculum

DBSJ follows the National Curriculum for England, from EYFS through to GCSE, BTEC and A Level examination courses. The curriculum is significantly enhanced by the local context and culture. Job Purpose:

- Presents a professional first impression to parents, guests and customers visiting the school. Being the first point of contact within the school. Assist with all queries knowledgeably, efficiently and courteously.

Key Relationships (Internal and External):

- All Staff, Parents, Students, External Visitors

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Welcome visitors to the school and register them, following student protection procedures.
  2. Operate the school phones.
  3. Respond to telephone/email enquiries from parents and public.
  4. Receive parcels and deliveries; ranking outgoing post and arranging special deliveries when necessary.
  5. Use Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel, to help support the school’s administrative team.
  6. Assist with all administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, and student attendance.
  7. Assist in locating students.
  8. Understand data protection and confidentiality.
  9. Work to deadlines in a calm and confident manner when under pressure.
  10. Assist with school events such as Parent Open Days and School Performances.
  11. Carry out any such task as shall be deemed necessary to the smooth running of the school.

Person Specification:

Education: Good general education appropriate to the post.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar field.

Competencies:

  1. Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  2. Excellent telephone manner.
  3. Highly organised.
  4. Experienced in Microsoft.
  5. Understanding of general reception tasks with excellent customer facing skills.
  6. A multi-tasker able to support the Management Team with administration.
  7. Ability to build personal relationships.
