Role Description

We are looking for a full-time School Nurse to join our team at a school in Abu Dhabi. The nurse will help support students’ health and well-being by carrying out routine health checks, responding to illness and injury, managing acute and long-term conditions, administering medication and providing first aid.

The role also involves keeping health records up to date, monitoring immunisation and screening requirements, and working with families, school staff and healthcare providers when needed. The School Nurse will encourage healthy habits, support school health policies and contribute to emergency plans and health and safety procedures on campus.

Qualifications

• Nursing and school health experience, with the ability to manage students’ health needs and help maintain a safe learning environment.
• Strong nursing and clinical assessment skills, including experience caring for children and adolescents.
• A valid nursing licence or registration, with eligibility to practise in the UAE.
• Experience in school nursing, paediatric nursing or community health is an advantage.
• Clear, effective communication with students, families, school staff and healthcare providers.
• Good organizational skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and meet reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and emergency response training; advanced life support certification is an advantage.
• A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and culturally sensitive care in a diverse school community.
