School Nurse

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a dynamic and skilled School Registered Nurse to join our team at GEMS Globe Academy, Dubai. Reporting to the Institution Physician, the successful applicant will support the institution by providing essential health services to identify health-related challenges affecting education and address each student's health needs to enhance their learning experience.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse
  • Dubai Health Authority (DHA) certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in Dubai
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to multitask
Performance Responsibilities
  • Model and promote a culture of compassion aligned with GEMS/GWA core values
  • Conduct health evaluations and gather health histories
  • Identify deficiencies in vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.
  • Monitor student growth and health patterns
  • Develop and implement student health plans
  • Communicate health statuses to parents and staff
  • Refer students to parents or healthcare professionals for intervention and follow-up
  • Provide ongoing health counseling to students, parents, and staff
  • Utilize current health resources to deliver appropriate care
  • Complete medical documentation such as consent forms and immunization records
  • Develop treatment plans and manage emergencies involving injuries or illnesses
  • Promote infection control measures
  • Deliver health education and preventive guidance
  • Provide direct health education and counseling to students and families
  • Ensure the health office is operational during after-school hours as scheduled
  • Maintain medical supplies and equipment
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding health information
  • Coordinate with the Ministry of Health guidelines
Benefits

Salary will be determined according to the approved wage structure, and annual performance reviews will be conducted as per school policy, overseen by the Head of School.
