Job summary

The Ministry of Education UAE invites an experienced EHS professional to join our school safety team in Abu Dhabi. You will carry out health and safety duties, implement EHS policies, and lead emergency planning and investigations to ensure a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring service providers, conducting risk assessments, delivering staff and student awareness training, and reporting hazards to national authorities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent engineering degree.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Proficiency in English.
• Computer skills.
• UAE National.
• Maximum age of 40 years old.

Responsibilities

• Carry out health and safety duties as delegated by the School Principal.
• Implement school EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
• Participate in the Safety Committee and prepare emergency plans.
• Monitor performance of service providers including maintenance, catering, and cleaning.
• Conduct regular inspections and prepare monthly reports.
• Report hazards, incidents, and injuries to the Ministry of Education.
• Lead investigations into health and safety incidents.
• Conduct risk assessments for all school activities.
• Provide EHS awareness and orientation training to staff and students.
