School Bus Driver Role Profile
Purpose of Role

The School Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students and staff between designated pickup points and the school. The role requires ensuring compliance with school transport policies, DOT and ADEK regulations, and maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes and schedules.
  • Pick up and drop off students at designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all UAE traffic and school transportation regulations.
  • Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the bus at all times.
  • Report any incidents, mechanical issues, or delays promptly to the transport coordinator or supervisor.
  • Support safe loading and unloading of students, ensuring seatbelts are fastened.
  • Participate in regular safety and training sessions as required by school policy or regulatory authorities.
Health and Safety
  • Emphasizes the importance of safety in all areas of the curriculum, communicating to the pupils the importance of a responsible attitude towards personal safety, the safety of others and respect for Aspen Heights British School’s property and equipment.
  • Safeguard Aspen students.
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
  • Ensure that all the necessary health and safety rules and procedures are being followed.
  • Maintain an awareness of all the health and safety measures to be taken when in school.
Personal and Professional Conduct
