Job summary

ADNOC Abu Dhabi UAE is seeking a Scale Engineer - Flow Assurance in Abu Dhabi Emirate to diagnose, prevent, and treat scale and asphaltene issues across wells and upstream gathering systems. You will drive reliability and asset integrity through technical analysis, field trials, and supplier coordination.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in petroleum or chemical engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, including 5 in upstream gathering systems, with strong capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in upstream gathering systems.
• Strong experience in scale management, asphaltene management, flow assurance, and chemical treatment.
• Ability to supervise field operations and coordinate with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on scale management and corrective action planning.
• Analyze scale and asphaltene issues across wells and systems to identify root causes and treatments.
• Research and apply latest scale management technologies, chemicals, and monitoring tools.
• Advise on sampling, assessment, and interpretation of scale deposits.
• Update scale simulation models to improve prediction and planning.
• Supervise field trials for chemical treatments and evaluate results.
• Recommend chemicals for long-term downhole applications and prevention.
• Oversee implementation programs ensuring compliance with standards.
• Conduct audits to verify proper application of scale management processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers, service companies, and engineering teams.
