Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Scaffolding Supervisor with shipyard exposure to lead scaffolding operations in Abu Dhabi. The role requires overseeing erection, inspections, and dismantling while coordinating manpower and equipment for daily tasks.

The candidate should have a recognised Advanced Scaffolder/Foreman certification and 7+ years in industrial/marine scaffolding, including crew leadership, with sound knowledge of safety, drawings, and fall protection.

Qualifications

• Recognised Advanced Scaffolder / Foreman certification.
• Minimum 7 years of industrial/marine scaffolding experience, including crew leadership.
• Strong knowledge of scaffold standards, load classes, ties, bracing and access requirements.
• Good knowledge of fall protection and rescue arrangements.
• Ability to interpret scaffold drawings/designs and work requirements.
• Experience in a shipyard / marine environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise scaffold erection, alteration, inspection readiness and dismantling activities.

• Ensure scaffolding works comply with approved drawings, procedures, permits and safety requirements.
• Review scaffold requests, load/use requirements, access, ties, bracing and fall-protection arrangements.

• Monitor crew productivity, workmanship, material usage and work progress.
• Coordinate with production and other trades to ensure safe and timely access.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with risk controls and safe working practices.
• Maintain daily manpower, progress and material records.
