Job summary

Mahraj Group of Companies is seeking a Scaffolding Engineer to design and oversee scaffolding systems on projects in the UAE. The role covers design, erection, inspection, maintenance and dismantling in line with project specs and UAE safety standards.

You will read and prepare technical drawings, prepare method statements, risk assessments and take-offs, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure safe, compliant scaffolding works across industrial, commercial and infrastructure settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in scaffolding engineering and construction.
• Knowledge of scaffolding standards and HSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare scaffolding layouts, drawings and technical calculations.
• Review scaffolding requirements based on construction activities.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments and material take-offs.
• Supervise scaffolding erection, modification, inspection and dismantling.
• Ensure scaffolding is structurally stable and loads are safe.
• Check platforms, ladders, guardrails, toe boards and base supports.
• Coordinate with construction, mechanical, piping, civil and maintenance teams.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure HSE compliance.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Scaffolding Engineer with experience in scaffolding design, erection, inspection and supervision. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that scaffolding systems are properly designed, safely erected, inspected, modified and dismantled in accordance with project specifications and applicable safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare scaffolding layouts, drawings and technical calculations
• Review scaffolding requirements based on construction and maintenance activities
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments and material take-offs
• Supervise scaffolding erection, modification, inspection and dismantling
• Ensure scaffolding is structurally stable and suitable for the required loads
• Check platforms, access ladders, guardrails, toe boards, bracing, ties and base supports
• Coordinate with construction, mechanical, piping, civil and maintenance teams
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with HSE requirements
• Identify unsafe scaffolding conditions and arrange immediate corrective actions
• Coordinate with scaffold supervisors, foremen, technicians and subcontractors
• Maintain scaffolding inspection records, tagging systems and handover documentation
• Monitor manpower, materials, productivity and project progress
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and third-party inspectors when required
• Ensure scaffolding activities comply with relevant international standards and UAE safety requirements
• Support estimation and preparation of quotations for scaffolding projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in scaffolding engineering and construction.
• Experience with industrial, commercial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of scaffolding systems, components, load requirements, and temporary works.
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant scaffolding standards and HSE requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, and site-management skills.
• UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
