Job summary

Star Services offshore role for a skilled Scaffolder in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Erect, dismantle and inspect scaffolding to safe working standards on offshore installations. Requires a minimum of 5 years’ scaffolding experience in Oil & Gas, with knowledge of various scaffold types and tagging systems.

Certifications in Scaffolding Erection & Dismantling and Basic Rigging & Slinging (UAE compliant) are preferred. Command of English for coordination with integrity inspectors and technicians is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 5 years in scaffolding erection within Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of different scaffold types and surface prep requirements.
• Familiarity with tagging systems and scaffold inspection requirements.
• Certifications in Scaffolding Erection & Dismantling and Basic Rigging & Slinging (UAE compliant) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Erect, dismantle, inspect and modify scaffolding safely per specs and work instructions.
• Support scaffolding activities for integrity inspection, NDT, maintenance, and painting at height.
• Monitor scaffold conditions, tagging status, and report non-conformances per HSE standards.
• Attend toolbox meetings and follow procedures to ensure safe, controlled execution.
• Maintain scaffolding materials, tools, clamps, and accessories with proper storage and housekeeping.
• Assist in preventive and corrective scaffolding maintenance to support operations.
• Comply with Oil & Gas HSE regulations, ADOC policies, PPE requirements, and environmental standards.

Job Description

• Erect, dismantle, inspect, and modify scaffolding structures safely as per approved specifications and work instructions.
• Carry out scaffolding support activities for integrity inspection, NDT, maintenance, and painting works at elevated locations.
• Monitor the physical condition of scaffolding systems, tagging status, and report any non-conformances in line with HSE and quality standards.
• Attend toolbox meetings and follow operational procedures to ensure work is executed in a controlled, safe, and consistent manner.
• Maintain scaffolding materials, tools, clamps, and accessories in good condition with proper storage and housekeeping practices.
• Assist in preventive and corrective scaffolding maintenance activities to support uninterrupted operations.
• Comply fully with Oil & Gas HSE regulations, ADOC policies, PPE requirements, and environmental standards at all times.

Skills

• Practical experience in scaffolding erection and dismantling within Oil & Gas facilities.
• Knowledge of different types of scaffolds, tagging systems, and surface preparation requirements.
• Certified in Scaffolding Erection & Dismantling and Basic Rigging & Slinging (UAE compliance)
• Good housekeeping, safety awareness, and ability to work at height in compliance with HSE standards.
• Basic communication and writing skills in English to support Integrity Inspectors and NDT Technicians.
