Synopsis

The Product Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end product development process, from defining desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products to launching them and ensuring they continuously meet customers' needs. This role will own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for products within the value stream and support the Release Train Engineers in delivering value to customers. The Product Manager must have a customer-centric mindset and act as the internal representative of the customer throughout the product lifecycle, leveraging market and customer research to understand needs.

Accountabilities

• Develop and communicate the strategy, vision, and roadmap for products, ensuring the team understands feature development over time.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Software Engineers to define and maintain Non-Functional Requirements to meet quality standards.
• Support the flow of work through the portfolio Kanban and into the product backlog.
• Work with the Product Owner to reprioritize the backlog based on business and customer needs.
• Present the product vision during Program Increment Planning, including proposed features and milestones.
• Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate with Solution Architects to understand the scope of upcoming enabler work and sequence architectural runway activities.
• Facilitate system demos, highlighting critical aspects for stakeholder review and approval.
• Support measuring product success through adoption, customer insights, and feedback, and identify future features.
• Provide regular progress updates, manage dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating as needed to senior management.

Education & Experience

• At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager designing and launching high-quality software products; airline industry experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Certified Product Manager (CPM), Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPM), or similar certification is desirable.
• Experience with Agile methodologies including SAFe, Scrum, and Lean Portfolio Management is desirable.
• Proven success in defining, delivering, and launching products.
• Experience in defining vision and strategy for technical products.
