SAP Functional Lead (Enterprise Asset Management, Plant Maintenance, Service Management & Project System)

Purpose
The SAP Functional Lead (EAM, PM, SM & PS) will provide deep functional and technical leadership in the implementation and optimisation of SAP's Enterprise Asset Management suite. This role covers Plant Maintenance (PM), Service Management (SM), and Project System (PS) within an S/4HANA environment. Focused on operational efficiency, asset reliability, and cost optimisation, the role will span across greenfield implementations, carve-outs, and system improvements. You will use Signavio (or similar tools) to model and improve maintenance, service, and project-related processes, working closely with maintenance, operations, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration across modules and alignment with business goals.
There will also be a focus on supporting HSSEQ-related processes within SAP, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety-critical maintenance procedures, and audit traceability are effectively managed and embedded into system design.

Technical Mastery
• Strong SAP Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP PM, SM, EAM, and PS in S/4HANA including configuration, asset lifecycle, work order processing, and project tracking.
• Integration & Troubleshooting: Capable of resolving cross-functional issues involving PM, PS, FICO, and MM.
• Maintenance & Project Execution: Experience designing systems to support preventive maintenance and project lifecycle management.
• HSSEQ Integration: Experience in designing SAP EAM/PM/PS solutions that support Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality compliance, including permit-to-work, inspection protocols, and integration with safety workflows.
Analytical & Problem-Solving
• Process Improvement: Skilled in identifying bottlenecks and designing optimised maintenance and project delivery processes.
• BPM Expertise: Proficient in Signavio (or similar) for visualising and improving maintenance and engineering workflows.
Project Management
• Methodologies: Experienced in Agile and Waterfall delivery models, with strong planning and execution skills.
• Lifecycle Delivery: End-to-end ownership from blueprinting through cutover and post-go-live.
Communication & Documentation
• Business Engagement: Strong stakeholder management skills, able to translate business needs into SAP solutions.
• Documentation: Able to produce high-quality functional specs, training manuals, and user documentation.
Adaptability & Collaboration
• High-Pressure Environments: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced operations.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Works effectively with maintenance, supply chain, finance, and IT teams.
