Job Description

Purpose of Position:

Lead the design, implementation, integration, and optimization of SAP solutions across various business functions. The SAP Consultant will serve as a strategic partner to business units, ensuring that SAP systems align with organizational goals, improve operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making. The position is critical in driving digital transformation, enhancing system performance, and delivering scalable solutions that meet both current and future business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end SAP solutions across core and extended modules (SD, MM, FICO, PP, PM, QA, etc.).
  • Define system architecture, technology stack, integration strategies, and security frameworks to ensure scalable and robust SAP solutions.

2. Business Analysis & Process Translation

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Translate business needs into efficient SAP configurations and workflows.
  • Conduct gap analyses and recommend SAP best practices to optimize business processes.

3. SAP Implementation & Configuration

  • Oversee the complete SAP project lifecycle—from blueprinting and configuration to testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Design, configure, and test SAP interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with external systems (e.g., Power BI, ZATCA Portal).

4. Integration & Custom Development

  • Coordinate with AMC support and development teams to manage SAP customizations and extensions.
  • Ensure all enhancements are aligned with the SAP architecture and meet performance expectations.

5. System Optimization & Technical Support

  • Perform system audits, performance tuning, and root cause analysis to enhance SAP performance.
  • Provide expert support during SAP upgrades and migrations.

6. Documentation, Training & User Support

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical specifications, process flow diagrams, and user documentation.
  • Train end-users and technical teams on SAP features, updates, and best practices.
  • Maintain a 100% system uptime standard and manage end-user support effectively.
  • Receive, triage, and respond to SAP-related incidents or queries.

7. Governance, Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure SAP configurations adhere to internal controls, IT policies, and external compliance requirements.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation to uphold solution integrity and consistency.

8. Project Management

  • Plan and manage SAP project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor risks and ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.
  • Provide regular status updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with SAP advancements and recommend innovative solutions to improve system functionality and business processes.
  • Evaluate existing SAP processes and incorporate industry best practices.
  • Facilitate user-requested improvements in collaboration with SAP support partners.

10. Cross-Functional & Backup Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP updates and migrations in coordination with support partners.
  • Act as backup for the IT Administrator when needed, including overseeing backups, managing the CCTV system, and administering the biometric attendance system.
  • Assist in SAP BASIS transactions as per management or HOD direction.
  • Support ICT/SAP needs and undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the HOD or management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • SAP Certification(s) in one or more modules is preferred.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP implementation and support.
  • Proven expertise in core SAP modules such as Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Finance & Controlling (FICO), Production Planning (PP), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Quality Assurance (QA).
  • In-depth understanding of SAP architecture, system configuration, data migration, and integration strategies.
  • Experience in full-cycle SAP ERP implementations, specifically in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in integrating SAP with external systems such as Power BI, ZATCA Portal, and other third-party platforms.
  • Working knowledge of ABAP programming is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, evaluation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities with the ability to manage stakeholders and end-users effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
