Job summary

ENOC is seeking a Sample Assistant to support laboratory chemists and lab assistants in the Lubricating Oils and Greases lab at the plant. You will draw material samples, ensure clean lab conditions and maintain retention samples, while ensuring chemical supplies are available and safety procedures followed.

The role requires a High School certificate or apprenticeship in a laboratory and 1–2 years of lab experience, preferably in lubricants blending.

Qualifications

• High School certificate or apprenticeship in laboratory.
• 1 to 2 years' experience in a lab or lubricants blending plant.

Responsibilities

• Draws samples of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products as directed by chemist/lab assistant.
• Maintains the laboratory and equipment/apparatus/glassware in a clean condition at all times.
• Ensures proper storage and easy recall of laboratory retention samples.
• Ensures adequate supply of laboratory chemicals by replenishment from the store at proper intervals.
• Participates in implementing the HSE policy and follows safe working practices across the plant.
• Performs other responsibilities as per company rules and Delegation of Authority Manual.
• Complies with information security policies and protects information assets as required.

Job Purpose

Responsible for assisting the laboratory Chemists and Lab Assistants in the operation of the laboratory of Lubricating Oils and Greases in the plant.

Principal Accountabilities

1. l Draws samples of raw material, packaging material and finished products as per the directions of the Chemist/ lab assistant.
2. 2.Maintains the laboratory and laboratory equipment/apparatus/glassware in a clean condition all the times.
3. 3.Ensures proper storage and easy recall of the laboratory retention samples.
4. 4.Ensures the adequate supply of laboratory chemicals is available for testing by replenishment from the store at proper intervals.
5. 5.Participates in the implementation of the HSE policy of the company and follow safe working practises across the plant. Supports the laboratory management system.
6. 6.Other Responsibilities as per Company's Rules and Delegation of Authority Manual

Experience
