Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Sample Assistant for the Lubricating Oils and Greases plant in the United Arab Emirates. The role supports chemists and lab assistants in day-to-day laboratory operations and sample handling to ensure accurate testing and compliance.

Responsibilities include sampling, maintaining lab cleanliness and equipment, managing sample storage, and ensuring chemical supplies. The position emphasizes adherence to safety policies and internal management systems.

Qualifications

• High School certificate or apprenticeship in a laboratory.
• 1–2 years' experience in a lab or lubricants blending plant.

Responsibilities

• Draw samples of raw material, packaging material and finished products as directed by the Chemist/lab assistant.
• Maintain the laboratory and laboratory equipment/apparatus/glassware in a clean condition at all times.
• Ensure proper storage and recall of retention samples.
• Ensure adequate supply of laboratory chemicals by replenishment from store at proper intervals.
• Participate in the implementation of the HSE policy and support the laboratory management system.
• Other responsibilities as per Company's Rules and Delegation of Authority Manual

Job Purpose

Responsible for assisting the laboratory Chemists and Lab Assistants in the operation of the laboratory of Lubricating Oils and Greases in the plant.

Principal Accountabilities

• l Draws samples of raw material, packaging material and finished products as per the directions of the Chemist/ lab assistant.
• 2.Maintains the laboratory and laboratory equipment/apparatus/glassware in a clean condition all the times.
• 3.Ensures proper storage and easy recall of the laboratory retention samples.
• 4.Ensures the adequate supply of laboratory chemicals is available for testing by replenishment from the store at proper intervals.
• 5.Participates in the implementation of the HSE policy of the company and follow safe working practises across the plant. Supports the laboratory management system.
• 6.Other Responsibilities as per Company's Rules and Delegation of Authority Manual

Experience
