Job description

10+ years experience in complex integration engagements in Public Sector and commercial customers.
10+ years proven experience executing campaigns targeting defined market segments with strong pipeline creation.
10+ years expertise in cloud migration journeys, application modernization strategies (7 R's model), and customer buying criteria.
Ability to build consensus across virtual teams through compelling written/verbal proposals. Familiarity with commercial models, negotiating large technology contracts.
Experience in Virtualization and infrastructure.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

At Amazon Web Services (AWS) EMEA, we're hiring Migrations Sales Specialists to focus on large-scale customer opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa, enabling enterprise account teams and customers to accelerate their cloud migration journey. As a key member of the EMEA Migrations growth team, this role offers the opportunity to influence the growth and future of our migration business within the Enterprise segment, impacting our customers' businesses.

You will lead a cross-functional team including business development, sales, solution architecture, partners, and professional services. Effectiveness in working with senior customer and partner leadership to qualify, develop, and close deals is essential, with knowledge of migrating and modernizing applications and methodologies that reduce risk and achieve transformational outcomes. Your focus will be on driving successful customer outcomes and developing scalable engagement mechanisms.

The ideal candidate will have experience engaging enterprise customers with services, technology, and application partners on large-scale transformation projects. They will have a customer-obsessed, collaborative approach, strong business acumen, and the ability to shape business benefits through compelling business cases. A good understanding of cloud solutions, especially data center migrations, database management, infrastructure modernization, and long-term strategic planning with AWS, is essential. Self-starter qualities and the ability to operate tactically and strategically are required.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive revenue, adoption, and market penetration across Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Lead deals teams and engagements at the CxO level, manage regional sales pipelines, and lead sales efforts.
- Work backwards from customer business objectives to facilitate transformational change through migration and modernization into AWS.
- Build business cases, proposals, and plans to help customers realize business value outcomes.
- Develop scalable IP and mechanisms for customer engagement.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, industry, and technical teams to identify and execute opportunity strategies.
- Conduct customer briefings, present at events, and share thought leadership.
- Lead pipeline and deal review cadences with cross-functional teams.
- Document and present results, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership.

**Desired Candidate Profile**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience interpreting data, creating business cases, and evaluating ROI.
- Experience managing complex multi-year projects.
