Job Purpose:

Locate potential customers, serve them by selling products and services, meeting customer needs.

Duties:

  1. Establish new accounts by using suitable methods which includes but are not limited to planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on potential sales leads and other trade factors.
  2. Establish and adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales targets or trade factors.
  3. Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential channels of business.
  4. Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  5. Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses and sales targets.
  6. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  7. Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  8. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  9. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by suitable methods.
  10. Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  11. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
