Sales Representative Job Description

The Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving defined sales targets by implementing effective commercial strategies that drive sales volume, expand the customer base, and support patient growth. The role focuses on promoting assigned therapies and medical products within a specific geographical area, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development. Success in this position requires strategic planning and hands-on engagement with healthcare professionals to support business objectives and improve patient outcomes.

Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve revenue, sales, profit, and qualitative objectives for the assigned therapies and/or medical products within your geographical or business areas.
  2. Manage day-to-day relationships with customers and plan visits accordingly.
  3. Build and develop professional, long-term customer relationships.
  4. Prepare, implement, and review targeted account plans aligned with the company's commercial policies.
  5. Plan and prepare for each customer visit and record outcomes.
  6. Propose and provide appropriate services to each customer to maximize opportunities for both the customer and the company.
  7. Communicate relevant information to existing and potential customers to ensure awareness of the product portfolio and benefits.
  8. Acquire new customers.
  9. Capture and maintain all relevant sales and customer data.
  10. Share market intelligence and competitor information with other sales reps and management to anticipate competitive moves.
  11. Maintain presence in all existing and target customers.
  12. Handle customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  13. Continuously assess the market for new customers, opportunities, and risks.
  14. Finalize budgets and forecasts in cooperation with line management and Marketing.
  15. Present products, organize promotional materials, and facilitate test usage where needed.
  16. Participate in congresses and customer events.
  17. Provide customer training and support as needed.
  18. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Account Managers, and Sales Support teams.
  19. Identify tender renewals and respond to tenders with support from line management and Marketing.
Sales Representative Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a scientific, medical, paramedical, nutrition, or dietetics background is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience within the healthcare industry, hospital environment, or medical sales.
