Position Overview:

We are hiring Sales Merchandisers to join our growing Modern Trade team in Dubai. This is a critical frontline role responsible for ensuring that NCH’s portfolio of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) is optimally displayed, readily available, and presented in a compelling way across modern retail environments.

Working closely with Sales Executives and the Delivery Team, the Sales Merchandiser is expected to maintain visual excellence, ensure planogram compliance, manage shelf stock, support promotions, and report on store-level performance. The role demands strong coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities:

Visual Merchandising & Product Availability

  • Execute in-store planograms, ensure premium shelf presentation, and implement brand visibility standards.
  • Monitor product availability on shelves and back storage, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Rotate stock according to FIFO standards to minimize expiry losses.
  • Place promotional materials (POSMs) and signage in accordance with marketing campaigns.

Retail Coverage & Route Execution

  • Cover approximately 35 modern trade outlets across Dubai, following a set route plan.
  • Coordinate with the delivery team to ensure stock handover and accurate placement.
  • Work solo or accompany delivery teams based on daily store assignments.

In-Store Execution & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales Executives to align on daily objectives, store priorities, and promotional schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with NCH retail agreements and promotional mechanics.
  • Provide in-store support for special displays, activations, and seasonal campaigns.

Data Collection & Reporting

  • Use handheld devices to track stock levels, promotional compliance, and competitor activities.
  • Capture visual evidence (photos) of product displays, planogram execution, and gaps.
  • Submit accurate daily reports on outlet visits, shelf share, and performance insights.

Store Training & Relationship Management

  • Educate store staff on product visibility requirements and brand standards.
  • Maintain positive relationships with store personnel to support ongoing collaboration.
  • Report any operational challenges or competitor actions to the Merchandising Team Leader.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of merchandising or field sales experience within FMCG or retail environments in the UAE.
  • Experience in modern trade outlets (hypermarkets, supermarkets) is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written); other languages are a plus.
  • Familiar with using handheld reporting devices or mobile applications for data collection.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
  • Physically fit and able to work on feet for extended periods, including lifting boxes and setting up displays.
