Sales Manager Leisure & MICE
The Sales Manager Leisure & MICE is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing key accounts in the Leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) segments. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the successful implementation of sales strategies aligned with the hotel's luxury standards.
What will I be doing
The role requires a strategic approach to market analysis, understanding competitor activity, and recommending strategies to position the hotel as a leader in the marketplace. Responsibilities include:
- Proactively sourcing and securing new business in the Leisure and MICE segments.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, event planners, and destination management companies.
- Conducting sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, and hotel presentations to generate new business.
- Representing the hotel at industry trade shows, networking events, and roadshows to increase brand awareness and market share.
- Negotiating and finalizing contracts with clients, ensuring profitability and alignment with hotel revenue strategies.
- Building and nurturing long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business.
- Providing personalized service and seamless communication to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborating with internal departments such as Events, Revenue, and Operations to ensure smooth handling of group bookings and events.
- Monitoring competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Working with the Revenue Management team to implement optimal pricing and yield strategies.
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets through proactive prospecting and strategic account management.
- Preparing sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to support strategic decision-making.
What are we looking for
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within a high-end or luxury hotel, resort, or destination management company, focusing on Leisure and MICE segments.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on developing high-value client relationships.
- Deep understanding of the Leisure and MICE markets, including key travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and event planners, both locally and internationally.
- Strong knowledge of market trends, the competitive landscape, and sales strategies specific to luxury hospitality and event management.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple high-profile accounts and events simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking with creativity and an innovative approach to sales, client engagement, and partnership development.
- Formal training or certifications in Sales, Hospitality Management, or related fields are advantageous.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage stress effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
