A leading company in the hospitality sector is seeking a Sales Manager to enhance Minor Hotels' brand positioning and develop client relationships. The role requires strategic sales activities, management of accounts, and achieving financial objectives while collaborating with operational teams. Candidates should possess 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales and a bachelor’s degree, with a strong focus on client development and revenue generation.
Ensure that you fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the Minor Hotels brand and that you are able to effectively articulate this positioning in the marketplace.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all Minor Hotels product and service offerings, including rates and new developments of key competitors, along with awareness of industry trends.
Approach personal sales activities strategically, understanding the importance and priority of the current account base, and directing efforts accordingly.
Review the actual production of each account against potential and suggest improvements to department leadership.
Focus on establishing new client contacts and developing detailed revenue potential from these accounts.
Achieve personal financial and non-financial objectives, working with department leadership to meet these goals.
Take responsibility for professional development, including financial literacy, negotiation, and face-to-face selling skills.
Maintain accurate management reports on business results and team member action plans.
Practice effective cost control and adhere to internal expenditure approval procedures.
Participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips, and roadshows to meet sales targets.
Collaborate with operational colleagues to support and deliver our brand promise accurately.
Drive opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Minor Hotels products.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of sales support tools, including sales-specific software, property PMS, and Microsoft Office.
Ensure all administrative tasks are processed efficiently, including timely updates in Opera and monthly sales reporting.
Attend owners' meetings as required and explore potential property buyout agreements.
Focus on product launches, bespoke meetings, and incentives.
