My client a global leading exhibition company is looking for a Sales Manager to drive new business and sponsorship revenue for a leading energy exhibition targeting the Japanese market. This is a high-impact, sales-driven role focused on winning new business, building C-level relationships, and representing one of the most dynamic energy events in Asia.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow key accounts across the Japanese energy landscape
  • Identify and close high-value sponsorship deals ($30K-$80K range)
  • Build strategic relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Represent the event professionally in early-stage outreach and onsite at exhibitions
  • Collaborate closely with content and marketing teams to craft compelling propositions
  • Mentor junior team members and support leadership initiatives when needed

Requirements:

  • Native or fluent Japanese speaker(essential)
  • Based in Dubaior Singapore preferred Japan-based remote options possible
  • Proven success in B2B event sponsorshipor adjacent sectors (media, advertising, comms, hospitality)
  • Track record in new business developmentin competitive or underdeveloped markets
  • Energy sector knowledge (traditional or renewables) is a plus
  • Consistent record of closing high-value deals
  • Ability to self-source leads and navigate complex sales cycles
  • Comfortable pitching at senior levels (director and C-suite)
