Job Title: Sales Manager – Bakery Industry (UAE)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Manager with strong experience in the bakery industry and an educational background from the UK. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the bakery market. This individual will be responsible for driving business growth in the UAE, expanding the market presence of our bakery products, and building long-term relationships with key clients. The Sales Manager will lead the sales team, implement strategies to meet business goals, and ensure customer satisfaction in the competitive bakery market in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development & Execution:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue growth, increase market share, and expand customer base in the UAE bakery market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both traditional and emerging markets, including retail, wholesale, foodservice, and hospitality sectors.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the UAE region.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, including retailers, distributors, wholesalers, hotels, and restaurants in the UAE.
  • Understand client needs, offer tailored bakery product solutions, and ensure exceptional customer service to drive client satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for key accounts, resolving any concerns, addressing inquiries, and negotiating terms to foster loyalty and continued business.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team in the UAE, ensuring team members meet sales targets and objectives.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to the sales team to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented environment within the team to ensure alignment with company goals and values.
  • Market Analysis & Sales Reporting:
  • Conduct market research to stay informed of the latest trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the UAE bakery sector.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
  • Use CRM systems and sales analytics tools to track team performance and optimize sales processes.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management:
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules with wholesale clients, retailers, and foodservice businesses.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships with clients.
  • Monitor contract renewals and work to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Product Knowledge & Brand Advocacy:
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s bakery products, production processes, and industry innovations.
  • Ensure the sales team is fully knowledgeable about the bakery products to effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.
  • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote the company’s bakery products and enhance brand visibility.
  • Monitor and manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, to ensure operational efficiency and target achievement.
  • Evaluate and optimize sales processes to ensure timely order fulfillment, effective customer service, and streamlined operations in the UAE market.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the bakery industry, with at least 3 years in a sales management role. Experience in the UAE market is highly desirable.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field from a recognized UK institution.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the bakery industry, including product offerings, production techniques, and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth, develop strategic sales plans, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Prior experience working in the UAE or GCC region, with an understanding of local market conditions and customer preferences.
  • Knowledge of local food regulations and industry standards in the UAE, particularly related to bakery products.
  • Bilingual capabilities (Arabic and English) would be an advantage in communicating with a broader customer base in the UAE.
  • Strong network within the UAE’s bakery, hospitality, and foodservice industries.
