A Sales Manager analyzes local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.

What will I be doing?

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  • Developing customer accounts and traveling within the local area to drive business into the hotel/cluster and increase market share
  • Negotiating room rates and packages with corporate clients
  • Developing and implementing creative local marketing channels, including social media
  • Preparing contracts in line with current business and pricing conditions
  • Working within current business strategies and recognizing potential opportunities
  • Collaborating with other hotel departments to enhance guest experience and build sales programs
  • Attending sales events as required
  • Producing accurate, timely reports for the Sales Director and senior management, including appointments, calls, and leads
  • Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries
  • Managing staff performance according to company policies
  • Recruiting, training, and developing the sales team
