Job description

We are seeking a Sales Manager - Freight & Forwarding to research and evaluate potential customers and sales opportunities. This role involves maintaining client relationships, providing support, recommending new opportunities, and staying informed about industry trends and market activities.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Identify business opportunities by researching prospective customers, analyzing their industry position, and evaluating sales options.
  2. Generate business leads both internally and externally by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions.
  3. Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; suggesting profit and service improvements.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends, market activities, and competitors to identify product improvements or new products.
  5. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  6. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
  7. Customer Relationship Management: Visit key existing customers regularly, involving superiors as part of CRM, to ensure retention and generate more business.
  8. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  9. Ensure adherence to credit policies, review debtor accounts regularly, and collect debts as per the agreed credit terms.
  10. Handle customer complaints in coordination with the Customer Service and Operations Departments.
  11. Ensure the company is not exposed to avoidable risks.
  12. Coordinate with the Accounts Department to serve mutual requirements and interests.
  13. Identify suitable overseas agents, negotiate special rates and tariffs with them, and with other shipping, airline carriers, and service providers.
  14. Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Sales or CEO.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • A valid driving license is required.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, traffic rules, laws, and customs procedures at ports and borders related to road transportation.
