Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Attend daily morning sales meetings.
  2. Call local agents, companies, organizations, and airlines.
  3. Develop business leads by contacting clients.
  4. Document all contacts with clients.
  5. Submit daily call reports.
  6. Forward relevant confirmations to clients for secured business.
  7. Develop new business from local agents, companies, organizations, and airlines.
  8. Schedule sales blitzes to promote the hotel among local companies and airlines.
  9. Update management on sales progress and bookings.
  10. Review and advise on ways to improve Sales and Marketing standards and policies.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Evaluate the performance of sales employees periodically and initiate corrective measures.
  2. Supervise personnel requisitions, disciplinary actions, promotions, training, leave, and overtime requests.
  3. Ensure assigned tasks are completed effectively and timely.
  4. Recommend corrective actions for variances in standards and budgets.
  5. Ensure adequate manpower according to business volume.
  6. Establish effective communication within and across departments.
  7. Communicate effectively with guests, subordinates, supervisors, and other section heads.
  8. Attend daily briefings and departmental meetings.
  9. Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  10. Identify and resolve problems professionally.
  11. Assist others to ensure smooth operation.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Understand and perform all departmental roles as described in job descriptions.
  2. Know and guide others on departmental policies.
  3. Maintain high-quality standards in products and presentation.
  4. Review and propose service standards.
  5. Assist employees when needed.
  6. Maintain grooming standards for self and staff.
  7. Promote environmental and other hotel-organized programs.
  8. Manage waste reduction and recycling efforts.
  9. Oversee requisitions and stock levels for departmental products.

COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Communicate effectively with guests, clients, partners, and staff.
  2. Act as a proactive sales representative to promote the hotel’s image and business.
  3. Participate in community projects to enhance the hotel’s community relations.

HUMAN RESOURCES RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Participate in performance evaluations.
  2. Attend required training for personal development.
  3. Motivate employees to grow within the company.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  1. Report to the Director of Sales or Sales Manager.
  2. Coordinate with relevant personnel to accomplish activities.
  3. Interact with clients, guests, officials, suppliers, and community members to promote the hotel.

OTHERS:

  1. Engage in continuous learning through own IDP.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant discipline.
  2. 2-3 years of sales experience in a similar role.
  3. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  4. Result-oriented with a positive attitude and drive to excel.
  5. Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
