Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Executive to join our Exhibitions and Events team. In this role, you will maximize profitability through effective supplier negotiations, boost exhibition sales, and control costs. You will play a key part in managing exhibition files, ensuring internal processes are followed, and that timelines are met.
You will also be responsible for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, coordinating event collateral, and contributing to marketing and tele sales activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with the International Project Manager to implement sales strategies and deliver successful exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize profitability of exhibitions by optimizing supplier opportunities, increasing sales, and controlling costs.
- Ensure internal processes for exhibition management are adhered to and on pre-agreed timelines.
- Liaise with clients, internal resources, and suppliers professionally and efficiently.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the sales and marketing plan, including intensive tele sales activities.
- Manage exhibition mailings and coordinate event collateral fulfilment.
- Update the International Project Manager on the progress of sales activities and tasks.
- Contribute to the growth of the exhibitor and visitor database for designated exhibitions.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development.
- Ensure all duties are performed in line with quality, security, and health & safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of proven success in exhibition sales or events management.
- In lieu of a formal degree, a high school certificate with a minimum of 3 years of administration experience.
- Strong negotiation skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Experience in budget compilation through Excel, with strong accuracy and numeracy skills.
- Knowledge of industry trends and product development within exhibitions.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
