About the role
The primary responsibility of the BMS/Controls Sales Engineer is to achieve the established financial objectives while strictly adhering to Carrier's Code of Ethics, as well as the company's Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and Quality Management System standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating inquiries through market visits to contractors, consultants, end users, FM companies.
- Create Controls/BMS Sales Opportunities, meeting customers.
- Forecast and achieve sales and bookings for the month.
- Follow up on quotation status with customers, understand requirements, and coordinate with application engineers to fulfill customer needs.
- Obtain factory/supplier prices by completing formalities and required documents.
- Review standard sales contracts and reach agreements with customers (payment, LC, warranty, etc.), following the approval process.
- Review and transition sales orders with Costing to the Controls Operations Team in coordination with Finance for approval.
- Follow payment terms and conditions as instructed by the Finance Department and assist in collections.
- Participate in weekly/monthly sales review, aging, and collection meetings.
- Review and approve sheet costs and quotations according to the approval matrix.
- Review monthly online backlog report.
- Ensure customers are periodically updated on the latest software, catalogs, and information from Carrier where applicable.
- Create quotations aligned with specifications.
- Perform technical submittals and clarifications, finalizing orders in coordination with the sales manager.
- Ensure proper invoicing by sales coordinators.
- Follow up on delivery processes with logistics.
- Coordinate with the finance department to follow up on payment and collection terms.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar industry, preferably in UAE.
- Thorough knowledge of the market and HVAC Controls/BMS products/Chiller Plant Manager.
- Knowledge of Total Quality Management and ISO processes & procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with excellent negotiation and computer skills.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Strong communication skills.

- Analytical skills.
