Job Overview
Responsible for selling products (construction/heavy machinery) to achieve targets in terms of quantity and value, whilst maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Achieve individual financial targets (unit sales, revenue and gross profits).
- Execute agreed business plan to ensure the Company achieves its sales and market share targets.
- Develop a good knowledge of customers’ needs and their buying behaviors to support customers and provide appropriate solutions.
- Attend to customer concerns/problems and ensure they are resolved amicably, in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all customers.
- Create product awareness and arrange/conduct customer presentations and product demonstrations to improve sales opportunities in deals closure.
- Keep updated on competitors' activities and provide timely feedback to Manager to support development of marketing strategy.
- Promote and conduct business in a professional manner to protect the integrity of Caterpillar brands and Al-Bahar image.
- Develop individual sales plan (unit sales, revenue, gross profit, participation, closure, etc.) with Account Manager.
- Support execution and achievement of Department objectives and action plans.
- Use the CRM system to create/manage activities, business opportunities, as per CRM business rules and conventions.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of quoting, invoicing and product delivery.
- Develop individual call plan with the Manager and ensure its timely execution.
- Complete the “won” and “lost” Sales Reports in a timely manner, ensuring data quality.
- Provide periodical reports to the Manager to apprise him on the business environment.
- Keep up to date with new products and support department on NPI activities.
- Assist in planning and managing participation in trade shows and exhibitions to maximize market coverage.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of DBS customer database.
- Assist the Accounts Department in collection of receivables where needed.
- Communicate well with peers and other employees and develop strong synergy with Product Support and Service employees.
- Participate in departmental meetings to discuss plans, progress and market opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering.
- 2-4 years relevant experience preferably within the construction machinery industry.
